A women cranky because her husband was late….
One evening, a woman was feeling particularly cranky. Her husband had once again come home late without calling or giving any explanation. She had been patient many times before, but tonight she’d had enough.
Angry and emotional, she decided to teach him a lesson.
She grabbed a pen and paper and wrote a dramatic note:
“I’ve had enough. I can’t take this anymore. You clearly don’t value me or our relationship. I’ve left you. Don’t bother coming after me.”
She placed the note on the bedside table where he would easily find it.
Then, with a sneaky smirk and crossed arms, she quietly crawled under the bed, determined to witness his reaction firsthand. She imagined him panicking, crying, maybe even calling her name in desperation. That would show him.
A few minutes later, the door opened.
Her husband walked in, tired, tossed his keys on the table, and noticed the note. He picked it up, read it silently, and paused.
He didn’t scream or cry.
Instead, he grabbed a pen, scribbled something under the note, and calmly pulled out his phone. She held her breath.
Then he said:
“Hey love… she finally left! I’m coming over now. Can’t wait to be with you. I’ve missed you so much.”
(Pause)
“Yeah, I’ll bring wine.”
He chuckled, grabbed his jacket, and walked out the door.
Under the bed, the woman’s heart sank. Her anger turned to confusion, and then to heartbreak. She was stunned, lying still for a few seconds.
Finally, she crawled out from under the bed, tears welling up in her eyes. With trembling hands, she picked up the note to read what he had written.
It said:
“I could see your feet, you idiot. I’m going to the store. Be back in 15 minutes. Love you.”
